Synopsis
Luke (Samuel L. Jackson), a washed-up Vegas magician with nothing to lose, is suddenly given a second chance at life when he is hit by a car, and his guardian angel, Max (Willem Dafoe), takes him to Las Vegas to give him a job in a casino. Max advises Luke to make the best of things and become friends with his new co-worker, Tangiers owner Steve (Richard Jenkins), and as an added bonus, Max shows up in the form of his own superhero, Nighthawk, who has also been taken to Vegas by Max. Now, Luke has to find a way to convince Steve to give him a job, get himself a place to live, and figure out what to do next.
The film was written by David S. Goyer and directed by giuseppe perrosini. It is a variation of the 1993 film "Magic Trip", written by Paul Schrader, and directed by Gus Van Sant.
